The European Parliament and the Council adopted a Regulation, laying down general rules for the granting of Community financial aid in the field of the trans-European networks in the transport and energy sectors, in accordance with Community law and policies concerning competition, environmental protection, health, sustainable development, public procurement and the effective implementation of the Community policies on interoperability.
