The European Commission has launched today a public consultation with a view to assessing the application of the 2005 SGEIs package, package that aims at clarifying under which conditions State funding of SGEIs can be considered compatible State aid. For this purpose, the Commission has published a questionnaire addressed to public service providers, public service users, stakeholders, citizens and all other interested parties. The results of this public consultation will also serve as a basis for eventually proposing improvements.
